From a busy inbox to a clear next step.

A delivery question, a new enquiry, an order confirmation. Each needs a different response. Dear.so helps you work through the messages and keep the context close.

Get to the messages that matter.

Start your day with the conversations that need your attention. Give Dear.so a sender, a time period, or a topic, and ask for a summary of the messages in that scope. Follow up on an individual thread when you need more detail.

  • Focus on the messages relevant to today’s work
  • Bring questions and requests into a readable summary
  • Ask a follow-up without restating the whole task

Start with a reply, not a blank page.

A good reply starts with understanding the conversation. Describe what you want to say and the tone you want to use. Work through the wording as a draft, checking names, dates, and promises before you send it.

  • Draft around the customer’s actual question
  • Refine the length and tone in your own words
  • Keep the final wording in your hands

Find the thread without the hunt.

You may remember what a customer asked, but not the subject line. Describe the conversation you are looking for and narrow the search by the details you do know. Bring the relevant messages together before deciding what happens next.

  • Look up messages by sender, subject, or topic
  • Recover the context behind an order or enquiry
  • Use the conversation to prepare your next response

What is Dear.so for Email?

It is an extension for the Dear.so desktop workspace. An AI assistant for your existing mailbox. Catch up on customer conversations, find the thread you need, and prepare replies through Dear.so’s Email extension.

Do I need the Dear.so desktop app?

Yes. The Email extension runs inside Dear.so, rather than in this website. You need a Dear.so account and an active plan or trial that allows you to use the app. Have your email provider’s IMAP and SMTP connection details ready. Your provider may require an app password.

How does automatic installation work?

Choose “Start 7-Day Trial” and register or sign in. We save your explicit Email installation request to your account. Download the standard Dear.so app and sign in with the same account. Once your account is ready, Dear.so installs a trusted compatible release, or reuses one already installed. The extension is not bundled into a personalized installer.

Does installing Email connect my account too?

No. Installation adds the extension to Dear.so. You then connect your Email account through project setup, providing the required credentials or completing authorization. You can do that later.

What if the app does not open or the download fails?

Your browser may ask permission to open Dear.so. If nothing happens, download or update the app and sign in with the same account. Failed extension requests offer Retry in the app; queued or failed requests can be cancelled. You can continue onboarding while installation runs.

Will it install again every time I sign in?

No. A completed request is not repeated on later sign-ins. If you remove the extension, the old completed request will not reinstall it. You can explicitly request it again when you need it.

Does this replace Email?

No. The extension helps you work with Email from Dear.so. You still use your existing account or workspace, with its usual permissions and any required subscription.

Are the examples on this page live?

No. They use illustrative records to show the kinds of requests you can make. Connect your own account in Dear.so to work with your information. Results depend on your data, permissions, and chosen AI.

Can I use other extensions too?

Yes. You can add other available extensions in Dear.so and choose which connected apps to use for a task.
